Before you join
The things that come up most often, answered plainly.
Yes. Circle opened on 1 October 2026 and you can join at any moment. When you join, you get access to the lessons, Elke dag, the assignments and the live sessions straight away.
You pay when you join and you get access to Circle straight away. You start in the space Welkom, with short videos that show how everything works. Circle Pro members also get a 20 minute intake call with Jacky, so they know exactly where to begin.
Circle is €297 per year instead of €497, and Circle Pro is €898 per year instead of €1,197. That opening price applies to your first year if you join on or before 31 October 2026, after which the normal yearly price applies.
Circle gives you the lessons at your own level, Elke dag with a new work situation every working day, a weekly speaking assignment with feedback from other members, three speaking groups a week of up to six people, and a monthly live masterclass with Jacky. Circle Pro adds a weekly live lesson at your level, the Expert Vault with masterclasses from guest professionals, buddy match, a speaking test at the start and a progress report after 90 days.
No. Most members join because they are not. In the speaking groups only Dutch is spoken, mistakes are part of it, and nobody corrects you during the conversation. At the end everyone gives one tip. If you are nervous, start with Elke dag, where you answer in your own time.
Elke dag is a short exercise on working days. A speaking group takes 30 minutes. Each week you do one assignment and respond to two other members. You choose what fits your week.
There are three speaking groups a week, one per level: A2/B1, B1/B2 and B2/C1, on Monday evening, Thursday evening and Saturday morning, and each week the levels move to another time. Up to six people, 30 minutes: a short warming up, twenty minutes of conversation on open questions, and a short round to close. The questions are in the event, so you can prepare. You can also find other members to practise with at your own times in Samen Oefenen.
Circle is for people from A2 level upwards, so you already understand a good deal of Dutch but freeze when you have to speak it at work. Everything runs at three levels, A2, B1 and B2, and you practise with people at your own stage.
The speaking practice is in Dutch, and the explanations are in English, so you always understand why something works the way it does. The community itself is a mix of internationals living and working in the Netherlands.
Yes, at any moment. Your membership then runs until the end of the year you paid for. Payment runs through Circle and Stripe, and all amounts are per year.
